Raybestos Powertrain has introduced new conical torque converter wafer options for Ford 10R80 transmissions. They are made from high-carbon friction material, and cover 10R80 models from 2017 to present. They come in two sizes/part numbers.
Features and benefits highlighted by the company include the following:
- Bond-in replacement conforms to conical shape;
- Withstand temperatures above and beyond High Energy Kevlar material;
- Optimum replacement for PWM systems;
- Pre-coated with Raybestos Powertrain adhesive;
- Complete contact between the friction material and the bonding surface
- No pre-tack required;
- No break-in required;
- Cost-sensitive alternative in continuous slip applications.
