Freudenberg-NOK Family Mourns the Loss of Tim Ensign

Tim Ensign, long-time Corteco and later TransTec Product Technician died unexpectedly on June 19, 2021, at the age of 53.  Tim was a dedicated father, husband and son who loved auto racing. He was a multi-time track champion at Sandusky (OH) Speedway in his #05 E-Modified car, carrying on the long-time tradition of his father.

Tim also raced Sprint Cars for several years and he passed his love of racing on to his youngest son Gage; most recently in indoor Derby car racing.  Tim was inducted into the Sandusky Speedway Hall of Fame in 2018 and was regarded as a prolific motorsports ambassador among all who knew him.

Tim began his career as an ASE Certified Master Tech immediately after high school, maintaining this certification for 33 years in a variety of positions.  He joined Freudenberg-NOK working for the last 16 years in the Product Development and Technical Services group.

Tim Ensign passed away June 19, 2021

While working in the Corteco group he specialized in engines and most recently worked on the TransTec brand supporting the transmission product line.  Putting his ASE certification and experience to use, Tim was instrumental in developing several tools that make technicians’ jobs easier.

Tim enjoyed sharing his passion and knowledge with customers, his co-workers and friends.  His quiet yet outgoing demeanor, camaraderie and especially his sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Tim leaves behind his wife Allison, sons Anthony (in the Air Force stationed in Guam) and Gage, four grandchildren, his mother and brother.
