Standard Drivetrain acquires Precision Industries

Standard Drivetrain, LLC, announced that it has acquired Precision Industries.

Precision Industries is a Whiteville, Tennessee-based torque converter maker, credited with introducing the multi-clutch performance torque converter, as well as the original one-piece billet back cover.

Standard Drivetrain is a driveline performance aftermarket company, led by Rob Boninfante and Chris Miller and formed earlier this year. You can read about the company’s formation in our story.

Standard Drivetrain described Precision Industries as synonymous with cutting-edge technology, and said that Vicky Hedrick expressed pride in passing the torch to Standard Drivetrain, ensuring that the brand continues its leadership in torque converter technology, according to the press release.

Standard Drivetrain said that it eagerly anticipates uniting Precision Industries’ expertise and the ProTorque brand to strengthen its market position in the performance driveline industry.

“With the acquisition of Precision Industries, Standard Drivetrain is poised to deliver on a new era of advancements. Precision Industries has exceptional manufacturing infrastructure and quality systems rarely seen in the aftermarket torque converter industry.
