Precision’s Milt Frese to retire

Milt Frese, known to countless shop customers and just about anybody attending a trade show or weekend seminar is the face of the Precision of New Hampton, will retire on his birthday, December 31 of this year.

“When I started my career at Precision, it was the best move of my life after marrying my wife and having kids, and I mean that; it was the best move. It opened my life up,” Frese reflects.

One of his coworkers summed up Frese’s long tenure by saying: “Most everyone in the industry has had the honor of meeting or visiting with Milt at some point, and all would agree that he is one of the most genuine, sincere, and humble people you will ever find. His calm wisdom and patient demeanor have guided many through a frustrating situation over the years. If he didn’t have the answer, he made sure to find someone who did.

“PNH prides itself on being a family-owned company and Milt has done an exceptional job of making sure our customers feel like family as well.”

During his years at Precision, Frese has seen the company grow to more than 40 warehouses nationwide for distribution of torque converters and, in the last several years, expanded to carrying an inventory of kits and parts. Soon, he says, these will become full-line distribution stores, and a transmission rebuild center will be added as well.

The company says it is searching for a transmission expert to join the team as it continues to expand.

“I’m going to miss it here, but let everyone know to not be surprised if I show up at their shop someday to say ‘hello’” Frese said.
