Goerend Transmissions announces the availability of the Mazak Multiplex, a twin spindle, twin turret CNC machine. Features include each spindle having its own turret of tools, a carousel for pieces of stock to be loaded where a robot mounted onto a gantry can retrieve it to the first spindle and retrieve the finished part from the second spindle putting the finished parts back onto the carousel. The company says that this machine differs from other current machines in its ability for both spindles to be machining simultaneously. This allows for offsetting production costs via shorter run times on a part and the ability to machine more parts in the same amount of time. This machine can help offset the costs of production.
