GM 6T70/75 slips and delays in first
A 2015 Chevrolet Equinox equipped with the 3.6-liter engine and 6T75 transmission has complaints of a delayed engagement into drive and slips in first gear.

Diagnosing an Overheating Condition
For the purposes of this article, we were working on a 2008 GMC Acadia that required internal repair of the transmission. In this specific instance, a reman unit was installed as the replacement. Similar to the diagnosis and repairing of this unit, the R&R is fairly straightforward also. Paying attention to things like cracked flex plates, reprogramming of the TCM, performing Fast Learn and getting the transmission to the correct fluid level are important items to check for a clean installation.

The 6T75 has been on the road for a little more than a year now, and we’re beginning to see some problems with this unit. The first problem we ran into was at a Miami shop that was doing factory-warranty work for a local GMC dealer. The problem vehicle was a 2007 GMC Acadia, and there were some problems with the two-wire Hall-effect speed sensors.
