Raybestos has introduced a series of Toyota UA80 and UB80 converter clutch plates. They include:

  • .084 ID Splined Single-Sided Torque Converter Friction, part no. R400009F
  • .084 OD Splined Single-Sided Torque Converter Friction, part no. R400010F
  • .083 ID Splined Torque Converter Steel Reaction Plate, part no. R400011S

The TorCon 6L80 is compatible with 2007-2020 GM trucks, vans and SUVs with a 5.3L, with a current VIO of 6,211,856, according to Schaeffler.

Schaeffler claims that the product's design leads it to last up to five times longer than rebuilt torque converters. Schaeffler also said that the LuK TorCon 6L80 requires only a straightforward match to the transmission, rather than needing to find model-specific cores.

American Powertrain announced that it has added GearStar automatic transmissions for Ford, Chevy, and Mopar.
