From The Publisher

It’s been a year of progress and change for the powertrain aftermarket in general and particularly for Transmission Digest. As we settle into our acquisition by Babcox Media, you’ll be seeing a lot more of our brand. We’re expanding our digital presence beginning in January with much more content coming much more often. The same is true with video productions, webinars and podcasts.

And, just like that, the year is over!

It’s now the holiday season, something that used to start at Thanksgiving and end on New Year’s Day. With the retail world starting Black Friday sales in October or early November, I guess that season now starts with Halloween and ends with the playing of the Super Bowl.

However it’s defined, it’s been a year of progress and change for the powertrain aftermarket in general and particularly for Transmission Digest. As we settle into our acquisition by Babcox Media, you’ll be seeing a lot more of our brand. We’re expanding our digital presence beginning in January with much more content coming much more often. The same is true with video productions, webinars and podcasts.

Still, this is a season of tradition; one in which we can recognize the challenges of the business we’re in. At the same time, we give thanks for the bounty our efforts have brought to ourselves and to our loved ones.

Every year we look for a proper image(above) to place with our best holiday wishes for the industry that has opened our covers and read the information we have provided for just short of 40 years. And, I think I found a great image, one that sends just the right message when I entered the reception lobby of Teal Automotive to assemble their story in this issue. These guys adorned the desk in that lobby and it just seemed right to share the photo.

May all of you have the best of holidays and a productive and profitable 2020.
