ATSG offers 10R80 transmission manual

ATSG has announced the availability of a new 10R80 TechTran Manual in its bookstore. The Ford 10R80 transmission was co-engineered by Ford and General Motors, and introduced for the 2017 model year. The 10R80 can be found behind the 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, or 5.0-liter engines in a number of Ford cars and trucks.

The 10R80 is a rear wheel drive ten-speed transmission using full electronic controls, four planetary gearsets, two multi-disc holding clutches, four multi-plate drive clutches, a one-way clutch, a main valve body control unit, and a torque converter with an internal clutch to attain ten forward speeds and one reverse gear. 

Available in both print and download, the new 10R80 TechTran Manual includes topics such as transmission disassembly, diagnostic trouble code definition, clutch identification and application, shift quadrant identification, transmission range sensor and speed sensor description.

ZF Aftermarket reports that it released more than 770 new parts over the course of 2023. According to ZF, those parts include 115 part numbers for ZF transmission products, including nearly 70 SACHS torque converters, and four different formulations of ZF Lifeguard e-Fluid for hybrid engines. A wide variety of other car and truck parts including brake pads, shock absorbers, and more, were also among that 770.
