Alto USA Producing Face Shields in COVID Response

Alto USA converts friction plate production line to create face shields for N95 masks.

A recent e-mail from Alto USA CEO David Landa drew attention to a conversion of a production line usually devoted to manufacturing friction plates to making face shields. Landa says the shields, that prolong the life of N95 face masks, have been donated to local hospitals and medical facilities in the company’s hometown of Atmore, Alabama and nearby Pensacola, Florida.

Landa went on to say that the company is searching for other frontline medical facilities that could use the shields. Alto has published a youtube video of the process that demonstrates the manufacturing of the shields.
